National Coal Mining Museum

The National Coal Mining Museum for England is a visitor attraction based at the site of Caphouse Colliery in Overton, West Yorkshire, England. It opened in 1988 as the Yorkshire Mining Museum and was granted national status in 1995. Visitors journey 140m underground and discover 180 years of mining history. Visitors learn about the people and communities at the heart of the industry and uncover how the miner lived at work and play.

The Itch
